And meet more than 12,000 marine animals, spread over three million litres of sea water and 83 aquariums. You will be amazed by the multicoloured fish, the beauty of the tropical forest and the depth of the shark tank.
The La Rochelle Aquarium is also an eco-citizen company which aims to be exemplary by limiting its ecological footprint and by acting daily for the environment (recycling of materials, installation of heat pumps and photovoltaic panels...).
In addition, the Centre d'Etudes et de Soins pour les tortues marines (Study and Care Centre for Marine Turtles) of the La Rochelle Aquarium collects every year turtles that have washed up from the Spanish coast to the Opal Coast. Treated and studied for several months, they are released back into the sea once they have recovered.
The La Rochelle Aquarium is open every day. The Aquarium is located 1h20 from the campsite La Boulinière.
