With your family or friends, during your stay at the 5-star campsite La Boulinière, we invite you to visit La Palmyre Zoo, nestled in the heart of an 18-hectare pine forest. Founded in 1966 and the first private zoo in France, it is now one of the most popular tourist sites in Charente-Maritime.
You can see more than 1600 mammals, birds and reptiles representing 115 different species, spread out in a vast wooded area in the heart of the Coubre forest. Each year, the Zoo records 200 to 300 births, a success that can be explained by the care given to the animals' food and well-being.
During your walk, you can contemplate the fauna of the five continents and learn more about the species presented. Several shows take place from Easter to All Saints' Day with the sea lions and parrots.
