Les Jardins de La Boirie

Classified as a Remarkable Garden...

In the heart of the typical village of La Boirie on the island of Oléron, Thierry Lecêtre has transformed the vegetable garden of his ancestors into an abundant, generous and colourful garden.

This garden, which is both botanical and landscaped, is made up of a succession of plant scenes decorated with decorative objects.

Thierry Lecêtre has divided his garden into three large areas linked by mineral or grassy paths.

In 2005, this private garden created from scratch was classified as a "remarkable garden" by the Ministry of Culture.

To be discovered during the visit:

The collection of sage (hardy, cool, annual, scented, shrubby...)
The collection of hostas, which grows larger every year
The tropical plants

Once you have visited the garden, you will be able to buy most of the plants in the nursery.
