Royan

Capital of the Côte de Beauté...

Take advantage of your stay at Camping La Boulinière to discover Royan, a town with a rich maritime history.

Nestled between the Côte Sauvage and the Gironde estuary, Royan is one of the main seaside resorts on the French Atlantic coast with five fine sandy beaches. With family or friends, you can walk or cycle along the many paths along the coast. You can also take advantage of the many activities available on the seafront.

The town also has a marina that can accommodate over 1000 boats and an active fishing port. The seafront, with its restaurants, cafes and shops, is particularly lively during the holiday periods.

You can admire the breathtaking view of the Gironde estuary, the Arvert coast and the Pointe de la Coubre from the Cordouan lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse in France and a listed monument.

Royan is organised around an airy urban space, emphasised by large perspectives as shown by the Notre-Dame church, classified as a historic monument since 1988, and the Central Market, also classified as a historic monument since 2002. You can also admire the beautiful "Belle Epoque" villas, remarkable examples of seaside architecture from the end of the 19th century.

Royan is located 1h10 from Camping La Boulinière.
